Aston Martin is going after Bentley Bentayga buyers with a plush new GT version of its DBX, which aims to provide a more refined and luxurious experience than the standard car.
Said to be "aimed at customers who prefer assured elegance over sporting aggression and demand a higher degree of luxury", the GT is a plusher and more restrained take on the V8 SUV.
It shares the more raucous DBX S's 717bhp, 664lb ft twin-turbocharged engine (and matches its 0-62mph time of 3.3sec) but cloaks that stunning performance in a toned-back body that majors on "quiet luxury and elegance".
In that regard, it more closely resembles the original DBX, which was dropped in 2024 as the more potent DBX 707 became the sole variant. That car has now been superseded by the uprated DBX S, which will sit alongside this new entrant.

With prices set to start at around £207,000, the DBX GT will serve as a direct rival to the similarly conceived Bentley Bentayga - leaving the DBX S to fight the Lamborghini Urus and Ferrari Purosangue.
Chief among its bespoke styling features is a new dual-vaned front grille (in place of the S's aggressive honeycomb visage), which can be had in bright chrome or a dark metal finish.
Meanwhile, its metal side strake motif is finished in bright silver metal rather than black and the lower bodywork is painted to match the bodywork, whereas the S has motorsport-style black splitters and side skirts.
The quad exhaust pipes are arranged horizontally, too, rather than stacked in pairs à la DBX S.
Bespoke 22in wheels – wrapped in all-season tyres "to maximise ride compliance and minimise road noise, and optionally upgraded to 23in items – complete the GT makeover.
Inside, Aston Martin has placed more focus on "craftsmanship and comfort", in line with the GT's more refined billing.
