The US-only Ford Mustang is now available with a Track Pack and a Handling Pack to upgrade the car's on-road ability.
Available on the manual Ford Mustang GT, the factory-fit Track Pack features upgraded suspension, unique engine tuning and special “summer” 19-inch Pirelli P Zero P255/40ZR-19 tyres.
Damper rates have been increased by 23 per cent at the front and eight per cent at the rear, compared to the standard Ford Mustang GT.
“The car stays flatter in turns," said Tom Barnes, vehicle engineering manager. “And when the car is flatter, the driver is more in command and more confident in what the car's doing.”
A limited-slip differential has been fitted to improve response under acceleration and braking and the brakes have been upgraded, too.
The Handling Pack is inspired by the Ford GT, and includes improved dampers, stiffer springs and a lower ride height.
The Track Pack adds $1495 (£900) to the price of a $31,845 (£19,000) Mustang GT, and the Handling Pack costs an extra $1395 (£850)
The Mustang GT is only available in the UK as a private import.
