Suzuki says the Ignis compact crossover 'shows how a compact car can straddle the boundary between daily life and leisure'.

Although the Japanese firm hasn’t released details of the car’s powertrain, the iM-4 concept featured a 1.2-litre petrol engine as part of a mild hybrid set-up.

The conceptual version also offered four-wheel drive, and was based on a new lightweight platform which was claimed to improve handling and increase rigidity.

Suzuki has also shown an off-road-inspired version of the Ignis in Tokyo. Dubbed the Trail Concept, the car features body cladding, larger wheels and extended wheel arches, as well as roof rails.

Two further concepts are also on display, the Mighty Deck kei car and the Air Triser MPV.

Sandero

Smehow looks like a squared off more rugged Sandero both outside and in. However, it is god to see a car company going its own way and doing something at least a little different.
