The new Chevrolet Corvette C7 will be offered in right-hand drive, but not before 2015. Speaking at today's Detroit motor show, Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter confirmed the car will emerge “after 2015”.
Juechter said the C7 would need a significant amount of cockpit re-engineering, but there is a firm intention for the Corvette to become a world car.
Corvette bosses say American deliveries will begin in the autumn, but the car won’t arrive in Europe until the end of 2013. There is no official word on pricing, but Corvette says “anyone who can afford a Vette now can afford the new one”.
The car is currently priced from $49,600 (£30,750).
