Rachel Burgess is magazine editor of Autocar, with more than 15 years experience in automotive journalism. She joined Autocar in 2016 as news editor, becoming deputy editor and executive editor, before taking on her latest role in 2022.

She has previously worked for Auto Express, Automotive Management, Auto Trader, Business Car, The Sun, The Telegraph and What Car?.

In her current role, she oversees the day-to-day running of the weekly Autocar magazine and Autocar’s website autocar.co.uk.

Rachel regularly interviews the most powerful executives from the global car industry, resulting in breaking news stories which are picked up around the world.

She frequently appears on BBC TV and radio, as well as ITV and Sky as a commentator on the automotive industry.
