Low-volume French car manufacturer PGO Automobiles used the Shanghai motor show to give the first Chinese airing to its small sports car, the Cevennes.
The two-seater roadster is inspired by the classic Porsche 356. It weighs just 998kg and is powered by a turbocharged BMW 1.6-litre petrol engine with 181bhp.
The rear-wheel drive model has a top speed of 140mph.
The model on the show stand in Shanghai features a black carbonfibre finish, something that will be exclusively reserved for the Chinese market.
PGO plans to open a showroom in Shanghai and later one in Beijing.
