Seat has released the first pictures of the Seat Exeo ST, an estate that will make its first public appearance at the Geneva motor show in March.
The estate body increases boot space in the Seat Exeo ST to 442 litres, the same as the previous-generation Audi A4 Avant on which it is closely based.
Engine options will comprise a choice of two common-rail turbodiesels producing 140bhp and 170bhp, and a petrol engine with 197bhp. All models will come with a six-speed manual gearbox and, like the Seat Exeo saloon, the ST will have re-tuned suspension and uprated brakes to improve on the previous-generation Audi chassis.
The Seat Exeo ST will be available with a choice of four trim levels, but will get a large amount of standard equipment to help it compete more capably in the upper-medium car segment. All Seat Exeo STs will get cruise control, Bluetooth and dual-zone air conditioning as standard.
Seat expects combined sales of around 5000 units for both saloon and estate cars. The Seat Exeo ST will arrive in the UK towards the end of the summer, priced at around £17,500 for the entry-level diesel variant.
