The second-generation Nissan Qashqai line-up will feature a new turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol engine when the replacement crossover is launched early next year.
The 113bhp DiG-T four-cylinder unit is set to be the sole petrol engine in the initial line-up.
Launch diesels will consist of a 108bhp 1.5 dCi and a 128bhp 1.6 dCi. Trim levels are set to include Visia, Visia + Safety Pack, Acenta, Acenta Premium and Tekna, with four-wheel drive optional on 1.6 dCi versions of the latter two.
Latest spy shots of the second-generation car show the model will have a more risque, avant-garde design than the previous model. Test mules for the car have been spotted in the UK in recent months, with Nissan promising a more sporting driving experience for motorists.
Prices are expected to start at less than £30,000.

At starting prices of under £30000
I suppose a price of £16000 could be technically classed as under £30000 that is I pressume should have been reported, otherwise it would make the Range Rover Evoque look like a humungous bargain
Hard to follow
It'll be interesting to see how this car turns out - it's the difficult second album after the surprise hit...
