Tesla has unveiled a range of Superchargers – high energy charging points – throughout Norway, allowing Model S owners to recharge their cars for free. The charging points are located near cities and on major roads; 90 per cent of Norwegians live within 200 miles of a Supercharger station. Superchargers can deliver up to 120kW and perform a half charge in 20 minutes. Tesla intends to extend the system to the UK in 2014.
Toyota has appointed Matt Harrison as the new president and managing director of Toyota GB. Harrison has worked with Toyota since 2000, in a series of marketing and planning roles. He replaces Jon Williams, who moves to a private Toyota distributor outside of Europe.
The facelifted Jeep Compass has arrived in UK showrooms. The biggest change is the all-new PowerTech automatic transmission, available on petrol cars only. Exterior tweaks are mild, though 18-inch polished alloys with painted inserts are now available on Limited models. Interior changes include soft-touch finishes on the armrest and centre console and standard front-side airbags. A new trim level – North – has also been introduced, sitting between the Sport and Limited.

Hope Mr Cameron is reading this, there's a Country letting it happen, and quickly too,surely for all hybrid/plug-in cars this would salve the range problem.
