Luxury model's chunky switchgear — designed to be operated by a gloved hand — has been significantly refined

The interior styling of the all-new 2013 Range Rover 4 has been revealed in this spy picture.

While the basic design themes remain the same, the wooden stanchions that supported the centre console have been truncated and turned into aluminium.

But the chunky switchgear of the original — designed to be operated by a gloved hand — has been significantly refined.

The TFT instrument panel and the iPad-style console screen are necessary advances, but the rest of the redesign seems to centre on giving the cabin more of an executive-car feel.
