You can't even buy one yet, but the new Citroen C4 Picasso MPV is already a safe bet for the school run.
It's just scored an impressive 35 out of 37 in the Euro NCAP crash tests for adult occupant protection – the best in the compact MPV class. That gives it five out of five stars, while it gets three out of five for child protection and two out of four for pedestrian safety.
Citroen's been concentrating on safety recently – the C4, C5, C6 and C8 all now have five-star ratings for adult occupants – and the C4 Picasso comes with seven airbags, traction control, anti-lock brakes with brake force distribution and brake assist, seven seatbelt warning indicators and four ISOFIX child-seat mountings.
