500bhp V10, top speed of 193mph, 0-62mph in 3.9sec

This is the Wiesmann Roadster MF5, which will be make its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show next month.

Performance is a key selling point of the Wiesmann Roadster MF5; powered by a 500bhp V10 engine with 383lb ft of torque - as used in the BMW M5 and M6 - it has a top speed of 193mph and hits 0-62mph in 3.9sec.

The car, built around an aluminium monocoque, also has an extandable wing to improve balance and handling at high speeds, as well as integrated side-impact protection, dual-stage driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes and traction control.

Wiesmann also promises that the car has been built for perfect driver ergonomics, with all the controls within easy reach. No pictures have been released, though; the images here are of the GT MF5 and MF4 Roadster.

Only 55 Wiesmann Roadster MF5s will be built, costing 189,500 euros (£163,000).
