Hyundai's range-topping rear-wheel drive coupé spotted in cold weather testing

The Hyundai Genesis coupé has recently been seen testing in Scandinavia. It is likely to take many of its styling cues from the Genesis Coupé concept and will become the brand's halo model, with rear-wheel drive and a 350bhp 3.8-litre V6. The concept's raked back roofline has made it through, as has the high boot lid and spoiler. The front end also looks to retain the sculpted lines that define the concept's bonnet and grille, though the dramatic air intakes and front splitter have been lost. Hyundai hasn't officially confirmed the Genesis coupé for the UK market yet – this is the American market model – but the company admits it wants to sell it here as a range-topper and competitor to the Nissan 350Z. Find out more about the Genesis coupé and the cheaper, front-wheel drive coupé due for launch in 2009 by clicking here.
