Currently reading: Jaguar XKR-S aero pack considered

Jaguar is mulling an aerodynamic pack for its hot XKR-S model. The sporting addenda has been photographed at the Nürburgring.

Jaguar is considering offering track-focused accessory upgrades for its flagship 542bhp Jaguar XKR-S.

This test mule has been snapped lapping the Nürburgring while equipped with an elegant race-look rear wing and a set of four aero ‘whiskers’ fitted in pairs to each corner of the front valence.

According to a Jaguar source the parts are non-production, but are being assessed by engineers.

"This does not signal intent for them to appear on a production car," confirmed the insider.

What Jaguar need to do

Is get back to basics, and throw the 3.0 diesel engine into the XK, price it right and watch it sell.

Function v Form

I like this a lot.  Its clearly function over form and that's fine!

Jaguar are moving in the right direction so well done!!

Jag for the Fast & Furious brigade

I love the XKR but this is not the way to go.  It's almost as if Jaguar have commissioned a few prepubescent boys to give the car some Fast & Furious attitude.  Get back to designing great looking machines Jaguar and leave this tacky stuff to Halfords or Kahn
