Top car designer Simon Cox is to head up Infiniti's London studio

Infiniti has appointed Simon Cox to a top position at its new London Paddington design studio.

Cox, who has previously worked at Peugeot, Ford, Lotus, Isuzu and General Motors, will be working as design director of Infiniti's London studio.

Infiniti has described the move as a "key appointment," as it looks to evolve the brand's design direction.

Previously Cox has been responsible for a number of award-winning designs and concepts during his 30 years' experience in the automotive industry. His credits include the 1993 Isuzu Vehicross concept, plus the 2005 Cadillac Cien, the 2009 Converj and the 2008 production CTS

Cox says he is excited to take on the role, and that it represents "a great opportunity to develop the Infiniti brand and products from a European perspective”.

Suzuki QT A foolish and sadly

Suzuki QT A foolish and sadly uninformed comment. Considering the design in question is 20 years old, it looks remarkable contemporary.

Hmmm ...

Is the Isuzu Vehicross concept from 1993 REALLY one of Mr Cox's "credits"?? ... I would've consigned that to the "Early Embarrassing Efforts" portfolio ...
